Danny's the Boy for the Autumn Cup!!

We had another fantastic Boarded competition on Saturday 29 October... as 68 players took to the course to play for the beautiful Autumn Cup trophy.

Despite the near perfect conditions the scoring was relatively low - making the final result a very tight call.

With 34 points, Christine Faulkner won the Ladies Category by one point from Julie Lofting.

Neil Frankland won the Men's Category 1 with 34 points... again winning by one point from runner-up Omid Nabbey. Third placed Ged Errington was a further point behind in third place.

Austin Willis posted a fine score of 37 points to win the Men's Category 3 by nine points from runner-up Tommy Higgins with 28 points.

In the Men's Category 2 Paul Janney took third place with 34 points... one behind runner-up Dave Passmore with 35 points. However, the winner of the Men's Category 2 and the overall winner of the Autumn Cup was Danny Lewis with 37 points!

Danny was presented with the Autumn Cup trophy by Committee President Norbert Petersen... congratulations Danny!

A big 'thank you' to the 'ever smiling' ladies of the halfway house... Jan and Louise you are absolute stars! Once again the Ladies provided a great selection of sandwiches, cakes, sweets, cava, beer...and even a nip of whisky

And to the Club House... 'thank you' for the 'apres golf' tapas - a great selection and tip-top service!!!

Finally, 'thank you' to all the players for making this another great day of golf.
