Birthday Boy Bags the '100' Bounty!!!

Our latest '100 Competition' on Tuesday 14 June saw the temperatures continuing to rise but, for once, the scoring cooling off.

As is the norm, the '100 Competition' proved to be very popular with 45 players taking on the course and the 'Sahara-like' conditions.

The winner of the Mens Category 1 was Tim Shilling with 35 points.

Michel Klaris claimed first place in the Mens Category 2... his 34 points edging out runner-up Tam Henderson with 33 points.

It was even closer in the Ladies category where winner Karen Leavy won on lower handicap from Sue Hill - both players with 33 points.

But, the winner of Category 3 and the overall winner of the June '100 Competition' was Ian Shrimpton... who, despite a slightly unfortunate interaction with a sprinkler head on the 18th, managed to keep his cool to fire a match winning 36 points! In a tightly contested finish, Tommy Higgins also scored 36 points... only to lose out on lower handicap!

Ian collected his €100 voucher (kindly sponsored by Graham Sparkes and Norbert Petersen) and a dozen TaylorMade Tour Response golf balls donated by The Great Golf Company, Balsicas (worth €58!!!). What a great prize... and the perfect way to celebrate your birthday!
