St Patrick´s 2025 - The Re-run!

An excellent turnout for the 2nd attempt at the St Patrick’s Day Trophy. 64 players enjoyed 25 degrees of sunshine and no torrential rain, we had the luck of the Irish this time.

The scores were really good with a number of well planned teams vying for first place and their name on the trophy. Lots of chatter at Après golf guessing the winners, with many names in the hat.

The winning teams score was -14, off a team handicap of 5 with 9 birdies! Well done team - Andrew Haigh (the mastermind), Peter Whitehead, (the don), Steve Forbes (the thinker) and last but not least is Thomas - Tam Henderson (the joker) whose putter was on fire by all accounts, the whole of the front 9. A true scramble, as they fought their way round, hole after hole to claim the title.

In 2nd place also on -14 were Lynn & Steve Hosking, Eva Bunse and Javier Fabrega with a handicap of 10.

It was great to see 6 teams enter just for the craic! The winning score was -9 by Dr Tassos & Cathy Sachinis, Christian & Saskia Dettmer, with a team handicap of 11.

Congratulations to all winners and players, excellent scoring on a difficult course, well done everyone.

The Nearest the Pin were won by Peggy O’Dea & Julian Duckmanton.

Thanks to all for wearing colourful shirts adding to the days atmosphere and joviality.

The fun Duckmanton leprechauns were hands down the best golfing fancy dress players. Superb effort!
