What a day, in so many ways!
The result were very close yesterday with only 3 points between 4th place and first. The overall winners were Steve & Julie Crook with 42 points. Well done guys.
The weather was certainly changeable. I think it was the hottest morning we’ve had so far this year with beautiful wispy skies. Then the heavens opened before all the players were in, getting some absolutely drenched . But the day was not over, the sun came back out for a glorious afternoon on Clubhouse balcony for the presentations.
Thank you to Spencer of Homespace for his generous sponsorship of the HDA Golf Members’ trophy competition and co-hosting of the presentations.
A big thank you also to the President of the HDA Golf Members’ Committee, Mr Norbert Petersen who presented the winners prizes and gave a short speech to the members.
A whopping 77 players!

No lady winner
A brilliant set of overall results.
Thank you Ona Hotel and Clubhouse staff, you were great. Fast service, good food and an outdoor bar. Well done Laura for managing the afternoon for Ona.
Thank you members making it such a fabulous afternoon. We can’t do it without you. Around 70 people enjoyed the paella and après golf presentations, with fun lasting long into the evening.
The raffle was a very popular once again, with two gourmet gift hampers. Chris Safhill, the HDA podcast king of Funkybear Productions presented the winning raffle prize to Maria Jones. And Anna Frigieri-Petersen presented the 2nd raffle prize to Peggy O’Dea, the luckiest lady I know!
With the money from the raffles, we have now paid in full for the new speaker and 2 microphones, which were used with great success at the event.
Future profits from the raffles will be coming back to golfers at this year’s Founder’s 2 day event. Planning is already underway for a bigger and better event this year. We’ll keep you posted.
Last but not least. A big thanks also goes to Gary Mcalpine the HDA Golf Marshall who keeps us all under control.
Well done everyone. A fantastic day.
