So Many Winners!

Yesterday, Saturday 24th January was not only the first of the 2026 trophy competitions for Robbie Burns, it was also the presentation and celebration of a year´s hard earned golf for the HDA Golf Member´s Matchplay and Eclectic Winners of 2025. One particular member walked away proud as punch having had a great year of results. Read on to find out who.
Robbie Burns - the day was absolutely freezing with gusts of up to 30kmh, making it exceptionally tough out there. There was even ice on the ground! The brave stood firm with a total of 23 teams at the starter´s hut.
The overall trophy winners of the Robbie Burns 4BBB pairs competition were...
The winners of the mixed/ladies category were....
Runners up in the Men´s category were....
Runners up in the mixed/ladies category were Sandra & Phil Brown also with 39 points (higher handicap). The biting chill kept them away from the presentations and a round of applause was given.
3rd in the Men´s category were....

The Most Outstanding Member.......A fanfare for Heather Janney who has had a fantastic year of results. Not only did she win individual games like the Ladies Eclectic and Founders. She also won the mixed pair Matchplay with Paul Mayne. Ladies winner in the Autumn Cup. Runner up in the Ladies Eclectic Pairs and 3rd in the nett Club Championships.
Wow! Quite a year for Heather. Very Well done!
A big thanks goes out to the Halfway House ladies for persevering in the extreme cold.
